The Story

Lured to the Diamond Cowgirl Casino with a promise of work, Johnny is ambushed en route. His old enemy the Orb arranged this, determined to destroy the Ghost Rider. But Johnny escapes by transforming, and then Ghost Rider wrecks havor – Johnny is less and less able to control his alter-ego. At the casino, Johnny arranges his act (which includes purchasing a bike to replace the one Ghost Rider destroyed). His act draws interest from… Gina Langtree, who he met while suffering amnesia! After a bit, he remembers her and they resume the friendship. Which gives the Orb his chance. Kidnapping Gina, he lures Johnny to the desert. But his traps fail, and Ghost Rider catches up to him! Second before the Rider ends Drake Shannon’s life, Gina pleads for mercy, and Johnny regains control. But their encounter has cost the Shannon, melting his face: he’s once again as ugly as he was. And he promises their NEXT meeting will end differently.
