The Story

Ghost Rider starts the evening by jousting with a motorcycle cop. He considers ‘visiting’ the Quentin Carnival before Johnny finally forces him back inside. At the carnival, Blaze entertains the crowd, including Harry Donovan. Harry’s girl Shirley opening admires Johnny’s talent. Harry’s first love appears to be beer. When she doesn’t return home (actually having gone off with Harry’s friend Burt), Harry returns to the carnival. His plan to run a truck into the tent is quashed by a broken axle. His plan to snipe Johnny while he rides succumbs to a lack of ammo. Enraged, his alcohol soaked brain hits on a final plan: construction equipment! A giant earth mover with a drunk at the wheel smashs Johnny’s stunt rig, and nearly kills Johnny, forcing him to release the Ghost Rider! Harry is no match for the vengeance crazed demon, who sears his soul… but spares his life.
