The Story of Nick Fury Agent of Shield #5

‘Beware… The Deadly Dreadnought!’ – reprinted from ‘Strange Tales, Vol. 1 #154’ – Fury has his team create the AUTOFAC, a computer that will be able to deduce Supreme Hydra’s true identity. Unaware that the Supreme Hydra has actually taken on the identity of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Bronson, Fury finds himself distracted by the attack of Hydra’s Dreadnought robot. While that attack serves as a decoy, Bronson captures Laura Brown, and reprograms the AUTOFAC to claim she is the Supreme Hydra. ‘Death Trap!’ – reprinted from ‘Strange Tales, Vol. 1 #155’ – Assassins board the helicarrier and try to take out Fury. He survives, but they don’t, so they can’t be interrogated. Realizing the danger, he assigns his top agents to protecting the Q-Ray they are holding for the government. He doesn’t realize that one of those agents is the Supreme Hydra in disguise, so the plan does not work out as he’d hoped.
